Exciting Education Opportunity

HAKEREM ANNOUNCES ITS THIRD COURSE IN OUR CONTINUING EDUCATION SERIES:

EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT PARSHAT HASHAVUA BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK

Join Hakerem and friends in a six- week course on how to read and understand the portion of the week.

Our sages say that if a section of Torah confuses you, just look more deeply. We will learn how to ask questions, discover poetic rhythms, find Kabbalistic concepts, recognize nature imagery, and notice hints to other Biblical texts. Torah will never be the same to you again.

Our teacher will be Rabbi Laura Duhan-Kaplan, Ph.D., who will be instructing us via Zoom from Canada. She is Professor of Jewish Studies and Director of Inter-Religious Studies at the Vancouver School of Theology. She is also a former synagogue rabbi and an award-winning teacher of philosophy.

Classes will be held on Monday evenings

at 7 PM. The dates are:

4 February

11 February

25 February

4 March

11 March

18 March

The cost of the classes is $25 per person.

Please contact HaKeremSC@gmail.com for more information and to sign up for the classes. We hope to see you there.
